Official Google Reader App Now Available

Wonders at kiss-mas time? Yes indeed. Google finally released a Google Reader app.

But the harsh reality, it looks not as good as expected. Basically it's the same look when you use the mobile reader website. That's disappointing. It has functions to share and send, star, like, mark as read, and more. It's fully synchronized and you can view videos and pictures inline. The faster experience is nice and is an advantage to using the browser. With a hefty 1.66MB download, plus a lot of cache memory when using, it's a high price for using it instead of the browser version.
It works great on Android tablets like the Galaxy Tab, like all good coded Android-apps, which makes reading news a nice experience.

So yes, it's worth the app, but a little more eye-candy would have been nice.
