HTC Ends Locked Bootloader Policy

Wordmark of HTC. Trademarked by HTC.Image via WikipediaGeeks can get angry... very angry. While some companies never learn and lose their profitable base of users, HTC seems to listen to their hardcore-users.

After a storm of angry users, HTC ends the locked bootloader policy and promises not to offer any new phones with the crippled software. But up until now, there is no sign of freeing the phones already sold with the locked software.

But there is hope. And it's very likely that they don't get into a dogfight with the hackers about unlocking those old phones.
