Nexus-Line, Upgrades And Google's Discovering Of The World

Great stuff going on at Google in the last few month.Android 4.2, start of Google Music in Europe and the Nexus Line was introduced with the Nexus 7,10 and 4. 2 tablets and 1 new Nexus phone from LG. All good. But if you want one, you had a hard time at launch day 13th November.

People had problems to order it. Google Wallet jerked. Most coverage in media was about the new Nexus devices were sold out in minutes. And while the little typing slaves in the editorial offices writing "iPhone shows its success again" it's just a "Google failed", when it comes to Google stuff. I don't know why. Maybe these typing slaves are just waiting for bad news of Google and good news of the fruit company, because they are lost in the last century and bound to their Macs in their offices, or they just hate Android for other reasons. Maybe because Google don't care about companies making money, but consumers using their stuff? Well... doesn't matter.

The fact is the demand was high. Too high for Google. And that's a shame no matter how many orderings were made. It's Google. Maybe it was too much at the same time. Google need to focus. And then there was Android 4.2.

No word about which devices are compatible and which Nexus devices won't get it. Since it's also called Jelly Bean, it was very logical that every Jelly Bean device, like the Nexus S will get the update. Apparently that is not the case. No Jelly Bean 4.2 for the Nexus S? A official denial wasn't to be found. And that is the problem. Please Google. At launch or even before you should officially and publicly state which Nexus devices are upgradeable and will receive it and which not. It's not acceptable to just leave people for an unknown amount of time in the dust not knowing anything. There you really could look how Apple is doing it at the presentation. I don't care if a 1 1/2  year old device can't get the newest update so much as I want to know what's going on at release date!

Google Music is another thing. It took 1 year to bring this service to Europe. Music Match should be working on start before the US. Strange. And trying and trying... nope it won't match music. It just uploaded everything. That is because it appears that Music Match was activated on November 1
6 and not at release of Google Music in Europe. Some where lucky, others not. It's total chaos to be fair. I thought there would be an update of the Google Music upload software to show what is matched, uploaded etc. Nothing. The old software. Nobody knew nothing.

Google is doing good these days, but they greatly need to improve their communication. It's so frustrating to be left in the dark as a customer.
